South African Hockey Announces SA Indoor Men’s Squad for 2026/27

South African Hockey has confirmed the SA Indoor Men’s Squad, powered by Tops at SPAR,for the 2026/27 international cycle, following the conclusion of the Senior Interprovincial Tournament and the national selection process.

The squad brings together a powerful blend of established internationals, proven domestic performers and emerging talent, reflecting both the depth of the local game and the continued evolution of the indoor programme. With a number of players returning from previous international campaigns alongside exciting new inclusions, the group sets a strong foundation as South Africa builds towards the next phase of international competition.

Leading the group is Dalpiarro Langford, who continues to be a central figure in the national setup, while the squad also features a core of experienced campaigners including captain Dayaan Cassiem, Jethro Eustice, Ryan Julius and Mustapha Cassiem. Their presence provides continuity and leadership within a group that has consistently pushed South Africa into contention on the global stage.

Convenor of selectors Steve Evans noted that the release of this squad marks the start of a new cycle building towards 2029, with selections balancing immediate performance against longer-term growth.

“This squad is the first step in a new cycle, and it reflects both where South African indoor hockey sits today and where we’re building towards by 2029. We’ve held on to a strong core of experience, but there’s real hunger and energy coming through from players who’ve earned their place on the back of consistent performances. The competition for spots was genuinely tough – and that’s exactly where a national programme should be.”

The squad will now assemble for upcoming high performance engagements and international preparation, with the focus firmly on maintaining South Africa’s position amongst the leading indoor hockey nations.
