WP Peninsula on the Brink of B Section Glory as SACD Men Secure Final Berth

The battle for supremacy in the B Section is heating up, with WP Peninsula women and SACD men both taking huge strides toward their respective titles. WP Peninsula is just one step away from claiming the B Section crown and securing promotion to the A Section, while SACD men clinched top spot in a dress rehearsal for the B Section final.

Women’s B Section

Northern Daisies 6-0 Mpumalanga
Northern Daisies kept their title hopes alive with a resounding victory over Mpumalanga. Shanay de Klerk opened the scoring in the first quarter, and Elizabeth Porter doubled the lead just minutes later. Captain Nadia Kitshoff made it 3-0 by halftime, and the second half was just as dominant. Pretty Morema, De Klerk, and Kitshoff found the back of the net again, sealing an emphatic 6-0 win for the Daisies.

SACD 4-3 Eastern Province
In one of the most thrilling matches of the day, SACD surged to a 3-0 halftime lead against Eastern Province, with two goals from Jayde Viljoen and one from Ntokozo Dube. Lisa February added a fourth with just 10 minutes left, and it seemed like SACD was cruising. But Eastern Province had other plans—goals from Alucedo Dunga, Leschae Kops, and Cassidy Williams brought them within touching distance of an equalizer. Despite a late surge, SACD held on for a dramatic 4-3 win.

WP Peninsula 4-1 KZN Mynahs
WP Peninsula edged closer to the B Section title with a confident 4-1 win over KZN Mynahs. Jesse Gradwell gave Peninsula the perfect start, followed by a brace from Isabella Booyens, making it 3-0 by halftime. Danielle Pillay pulled one back for the Mynahs, but Lane Barnard’s late goal secured the victory, putting Peninsula just one point away from lifting the trophy.

Thomas Waddell managed a consolation goal for Northern Cape, but the Pretoria boys will go into the 5th place match brimming with confidence.

KZN Mynahs 2-2 SG Nuggets
With both teams eyeing a spot in the final, SG Nuggets took an early lead, with goals from Mbulelo Ncube and Adams Mesach giving them a 2-0 halftime advantage. But the Mynahs roared back in the second half, equalizing through Christian Lambert and Mpumelelo Nkosi.
