On September 16th 2023, we returned to Hoërskool Kempton Park for the U15 version of the SPAR Schoolgirls Hockey Festival. The mercury rapidly went past 30 and kept on going on the astro of the East Rand school while the players from 10 schools toiled for the spoils under the watchful eyes of a large group of parents.

The final played out between Hoërskool Kempton Park and Hoërskool Alberton but not before some seriously entertaining clashes in the pool section matches. Notable matches were the Eldoraigne vs Alberton and the Kempton Park vs Oosterlig matches in the pool stages.
The Final went to an 8 second shoot-out for the second Festival in a row and the Hoërskool Alberton goalkeeper came out on top as she made 2 saves and forced a shot wide. The emotions were not to be contained as the umpires blew the final whistles and the players and coach surrounded their keeper who has been excellent all day.
