Although the weather is a little cold and wet today, it is definitely going to be a good weekend to dive. Clear, blue sunny skies expected for the weekend. Sea temperatures are currently ranging from 20°-23° and there is a low South-North current. Visibility has also improved so our challenge this week is to find some of the rare fish that have been spotted on our reefs.
On Saturday come have a look what Bikini has to hide, maybe spot some Paperfish, Frogfish, or you might be lucky to find the Pineapple fish too. Or visit one of the oldest dives sites on the Bluff, Caves, to search for the Hound Sharks and Blue Stripe Pipefish.
On Sunday we are off to Fontao where you will have to swim through the shoals of fish to get a look at the wreck, awesome start to a Sunday morning. A bit to early to start? Join us on G-Spot and search for the Ghost pipe fish that hang out there. After a short surface interval it will be off to dive on Birthdays. What surprises can you expect on Birthdays? Look out for the Paperfish and Frogfish, but don’t forget to take a closer look for the amazing array of Nudibranchs on this site. Last dive of the day, where should we go? I think we will go off to Dougs cave to say hi to the resident Green Turtle and maybe look for that Giant Angler Fish.
Wow so much on offer on the sites this weekend why not come join us for a dive or two to take some stories home to your friends of your rare sightings.
