The Kickboxing Tournament

Run Ride Dive News

The name kickboxing drums up images of Jean Claude doing the splits on opposing chairs, rippled muscles and lots and lots of martial arts action. The Northerns Tournament held at the Pretoria Show Grounds did not disappoint.

The medics were on hand to make sure everyone was okay and we didn’t witness anything worse than a cut to one poor chaps nose, which ended his fight literally seconds into the first round.

The participants range from 5 or 6 year old kids to middle-aged men and women. Most of whom are in excellent physical condition.

We had a great day out at the kickboxing and recommend this as a sport for all of those wanting to add an edge to their fitness training with a self-defense twist. Discipline is the key in sports like this, keep keeping on as they say.
