Things are heating up in the Premier League
Last week @MarcelSigg beat @DirkVale by 4:2 – Dirk will want his revenge this week, let’s see how he goes.
@DirkVale: Spurs 0 – 2 Man City
I expect a reaction from City here. Spurs have shown glimpses of form, but not enough to see off City.
@MarcelSigg: Spurs 0 – 1 Man City
City are clear favourites here despite a loss to West Ham in the previous round I think they just have too much in the locker and Spurs while improving just are not scoring the goals to be a serious threat.
Result: Spurs 4 – 1 Man City
@DirkVale: Leicester 1 – 1 Arsenal
I think Leicester will continue their recent good form with a strong draw against Arsenal. Arsenal look rattled and I can’t see them beating this Leicester side.
@MarcelSigg: Leicester 2 – 2 Arsenal
Arsenal to cruise to a first half lead and Leicester to fight hard in the last 20 to eek out a draw.
Result: Leicester 2 – 5 Arsenal
@DirkVale: Liverpool 2 – 1 Villa
Liverpool out of sorts but Villa look clueless right now. Liverpool to start Ings (finally) and see that playing to a system works for them…
@MarcelSigg: Liverpool 1 – 0 Aston Villa
Liverpool despite their woes are too strong for Villa. Ings to score if he isn’t defending on the left wing.
Result: Liverpool 3 – 2 Aston Villa
@DirkVale: Man United 2 – 0 Sunderland
The Black Cats are in trouble, a visit from the Red Devils in a bit of form is the last thing they need! Pick for Depay to finally score his first EPL goal.
@MarcelSigg: Man United 2 – 0 Sunderland
Sunderland are looking like relegation contenders already. United are shaky at the back again but Sunderland won’t be getting anything at OT this week.
Result: Man United 3 – 0 Sunderland
@DirkVale: Saints 1 – 1 Swansea
Everyones other teams will cancel each other out here.
@MarcelSigg: Southampton 1 – 1 Swansea
Pelle and Ayew to score? Otherwise a scoreless draw.
Result: Southampton 3 – 1 Swansea
@DirkVale: Stoke 2 – 0 Bournemouth
Stoke have been good but too many draws, expecting them to finally get the win that will kick start their season. Bournemouth started their EPL season well but going to the Britannia is a different kind of test.
@MarcelSigg: Stoke 0 – 1 Bournemouth
I think Callum Wilson will continue his impressive run and edge the game in their favour. Stoke have transformed their football in recent seasons, I’m going for the underdog.
Result: Stoke 2 – 1 Bournemouth
@DirkVale: West Ham 2 – 0 Norwich
West Ham to continue their surprising form with another well taken win. Payet been excellent and looks to be growing into his role in the side.
@MarcelSigg: West Ham 2 – 1 Norwich
The giant-killers will win against the Canaries as long as they take the game seriously. Norwich are playing well and deservedly took a point off Liverpool in the previous round. West Ham too strong and too well organised for me.
Result: West Ham 2 – 2 Norwich
@DirkVale: Newcastle 0 – 1 Chelsea
Chelsea win boring as they do. Newcastle couldn’t beat our Thursday night indoor side right now.
@MarcelSigg: Newcastle 0 – 1 Chelsea
Newcastle are shocking. I don’t think McClaren knew what he was getting himself into. Along with Sunderland a good bet to go down.
Result: Newcastle 2 – 2 Chelsea
@DirkVale: Watford 1 – 2 Palace
Watford looking better and better, but Palace look a little more finished – once Pardew starts playing a striker as a striker. I expect the pace from Palace to be a little too much for Watford.
@MarcelSigg: Watford 1 – 0 Palace
Watford are another team doing really well since promoting. Palace didn’t impress me at all this past weekend against Spurs.
Result: Watford 0 – 1 Palace
@DirkVale: West Brom 0 – 2 Everton
Everton have been excellent lately and I expect them to carry this form into this fixture. Martinez wants to show his team are contenders this season so expect a strong focused performance.
@MarcelSigg: West Brom 1 – 1 Everton
Saido Berahino is back, apparently all is forgiven and the youngster needs to play and cement his place. Everton play nice football but far too few goals for my liking. The Chelsea game was a highlight but Lukaku isn’t justifying his price tag.
Result: West Brom 2 – Everton 3
Winner of the round: @DirkVale
