  1. Your transfer from Bloem Celtic to Kaizer Chiefs – how have you had to adapt your life on and off the pitch now that you are in a much brighter spotlight? Life at KC is different because it’s a much bigger club, there is a lot more responsibility and pressure on and off the field.

 

  1. What excited you most about moving to Chiefs? It is the club I have supported as a kid, the biggest club in Africa with a rich history and heritage. As a player to be associated with such a club is a dream come true.

 

  1. How has the transfer impacted your game? It has boosted my confidence to know that I can hold my own at such a huge stage. My level of professionalism and focus has also improved greatly.

 

  1. The Soweto Derby is as big as it gets in SA. Take us through your first taste of this match up – nerves, highlights, the crowd? It was the biggest moment in my career so far, it’s everyone’s dream to play in the Soweto derby. I was very nervous and excited at the same time, a moment I will cherish for the rest of my life.

 

  1. What is it about playing in the number 10 jersey that appeals to you and what qualities make a great playmaker? It comes with a lot of responsibility and pressure too. As a playmaker you need to have the ability to make the team tick, dictate the pace of the game, give my teammates confidence as well as to create and score goals

  1. What are your football ambitions for 2017? To firstly cement my place in the starting 11 at KC, to win as many trophies as possible and to break into the Bafana Bafana team.

 

  1. Do you have ambitions to play for Bafana, World Cup dreams? Yes, I have represented my country at all junior national teams and have gotten a Bafana call up before so I definitely strive to become a regular for Bafana leading up to world cup year and beyond.

 

  1. Is there a long term dream of playing overseas and if so which league and why? It is a lifelong dream to play overseas. Spain is my preferred league as it suits the way I play and view football.

 

  1. Do you have a motto you live by? Yes, my Motto in life is “Focus on my Focus”. There is a lot out there that can derail you when you lack focus.

 

  1. What attracted you to Team PUMA? The way the brand treat their athletes is second to none, the PUMA team is professional and put us first. The quality of their sportstyle apparel is the best out there so we are always looking very fresh. Most importantantly though, the vision of PUMA and where it’s headed fascinates me and I am proud to be part of the brand.

 

  1. What do you enjoy about the PUMA evoPOWER boots and how do they improve your game? They are very beautiful boots, comfortable and they help me with my passing and shooting. A great boot indeed.
