Prior to the last international break City managed to open up a sizeable lead over the following pack with United stumbling to one win and one draw only. This allowed the rest of the contenders to close the gap on them in turn. In Superbru terms, Tyron (Jabu) is still sitting pretty on top of our log but I’ve clawed my way back into the top 10 ahead of this round and hope to make more progress. Dirk will have to work hard to make his way back onto the first page of the standings but his consolation will be in the fact that City are top, even if he isn’t.
RESULT: Arsenal 2 – 0 Tottenham
Arsenal 0 – 2 Tottenham
Spurs are stronger than Arsenal right now, and I think that they’ll have too much for this Arsenal side.
Arsenal 1 – 1 Tottenham
These teams draw more often than a result and so while Spurs may feel like favourites, Lacazette blistering form for France might come back to haunt them. Have I told you that I hate Spurs yet?
Arsenal 1 – 1 Tottenham
Don’t let Tyron’s dislike for Spurs influence you. I bet he’ll mention that this week. Could be a classic match, could be another drubbing for Arsenal but draws are the most common result.
MATCH Bournemouth 4 – 0 Huddersfield
Difficult one to call but the Cherries have looked better lately. I don’t feel confident they’ll have enough for the win but should be an entertaining draw.
This is my tough pick for the week. Huddersfield are a likeable team, but then again so are Bournemouth.
I’d be happy if they drew from a spectators point of view but the home side should win and Huddersfield are slowly coming unstuck
RESULT: Burnley 2 – 0 Swansea
I feel for Swansea, they desperately need some fire power up front. Bony hasn’t done much and Abrahams has potential but he needs someone to play off. Burnley, have been fantastic this season and they should do enough for all three points here.
Burnley are playing some good football and find themselves fighting it out with Arsenal and Liverpool for Europa competition. I expect Swansea to not cause too many problems for the Clarets.
Come on Burnley! I’m no fan of Swansea and their style of play this season isn’t helping.
RESULT: Crystal Palace 2 – 2 Everton
It feels like it will be the worst game of the weekend this. Both have exciting midfields with extremely out of form forwards. 0-0 draw for me.
I backed Everton last game week and it secured me a share of the spoils. Who is worse Moyes or Unsworth. Thats like picking between Baby Marrow and Brussel sprouts.
Everton won against the odds last time out but I think it’s just a blip as they slip away from the Premier League
RESULT: Leicester 0 – 2 Man City
City haven’t lost this season and Leicester aren’t the inspired force of old. City to win easy against a slow Leicester defense.
Easy win for Peps team. Easy articles for the media houses. Easy game to predict.
Can anyone stop the Pep-train? I don’t think this Leicester team can. With the new defensive line-up they still concede but probably not to Vardy and co.
RESULT: Liverpool 3 – 0 Southampton
Liverpool are playing their B team basically! Klopp’s men have looked more effective recently, and they’ll have more than enough to see off the misfiring Saints.
Will van Dijk put in a man of the match performance for Liverpool, much like Alex Oxlade Chamberlain did before forcing a move? Probably not, but pool should win this.
The other two will probably go for a Liverpool win but I think a draw is on the cards with Mane reportedly injured again.
RESULT West Brom 0 – 4 Chelsea
West Brom have been really out of sorts recently and Chelsea have looked a lot better. Pulis may start feeling the heat with defeat here!
West Brom have not won a game in ages and Tony Pulis is looking like a man bereft of ideas. He really needs to find a new Rory Delap
Non-contest really but WBA will probably park a bus, a Bedford van and half a train in their own half making it difficult for Chelsea to break them down.
RESULT Man United 4 – 1 Newcastle
Newcastle are punching above their weight so far this season, but this is United away. I don’t think they’ll be able to find any points in Manchester this weekend!
United love beating Newcastle at home. They should do it again. IF they dont Mourinho will say something about having more players on International duty.
The last two matches between these two ended in draws. Surely Mo will have a plan to beat Rafa’s rather average squad of misfits?
RESULT Watford – West Ham
Has to be Watford right? Moyes isn’t the most inspiring of managerial choices, and away here I can’t see their luck changing.
Its the return of Moyes and it coincides with a loss of form for Watford. West Ham players will try and impress, Moyes will show his tactical limitations. The end.
Deflected own goal against the run of play gives Moyes supporters false hope and adds to Watford’s woes? Sounded good in my head anyway.
RESULT: Brighton 2 – 2 Stoke
Another difficult one to call, Brighton have had an excellent season so far and I feel like they’ll continue their decent run here. Stoke have it in them to score a few and I think it’ll be a good draw for both sides.
Because Stoke look bang average to be honest and Chris Hughton deserves a good stay in the EPL.
Stoke are so bad right now I can’t express myself without expletives. Brighton are actually good to watch without any great stars, might be a decent game to watch to end off the round.

This season we score things a little differently, we’ll award 3 points to the outright winner or 1 each for draws. The loser gets none!
