PUMA South Africa opened their second Forever Faster store today in Midrand’s Mall of Africa, southern Africa’s largest single-phase shopping centre development. Based on PUMA’s global retail blueprint, Forever Faster, the store is designed to optimise product stories while revealing the technologies used in the production of key PUMA performance products, mainly football and performance running.
The location for PUMA South Africa’s largest concept store to date is fitting as the R5 billion, 130,000m² Mall of Africa is geared to set a new benchmark for shopping centres on the continent.
The look and feel of the new Forever Faster PUMA store is modern and cool, coupled with inspirational elements that radiate a sporty, energetic personality. PUMA’s long standing heritage as a footwear company is underlined by the strong visual impact of the Footwear Wall, the focal point of the new store.
“The store design is part of our new retail strategy to communicate more clearly and effectively in retail, putting the product and our athletes at the heart of the message – establishing a meaningful connection with consumers and effectively telling brand and product stories,” said Brett Bellinger, Marketing Director of PUMA South Africa.
Bellinger commented further, “It is important for PUMA to be strongly represented in major retail centres across the country and it was therefore an obvious choice to position our largest PUMA Forever Faster Store to date in the Mall of Africa.”
The Forever Faster PUMA store is located at the Mall of Africa, Shop 1020, Magwa Crescent, Waterfall City, Midrand. Trading hours are Monday to Friday: 09h00-20h00; Saturday: 09h00-20h00, Sunday & Public Holidays: 10h00-20h00
