National Mx Champs head to Bloem

Run Ride Dive Motorsport

With 2 rounds down, it is clear that the battles for the 2016 Monster Energy TRP Distributors SA National MX Championships are going to be intense ones. If any of the points’ leaders give even one inch, there is someone hot on their heels ready to grab it, and we couldn’t ask for a better way to welcome back the historical MX track in Bloemfontein to watch as the battles continue in Round 3.
Run by the Bloemfontein Off Road Club, this venue is a favourite amongst many, with some serious jumps that make for even more excitement. The venue has not been used for a National for several years so there is much anticipation amongst the competitors to line up on the start gates. The venue is great for spectators and another amazing venue to watch the best in SA as they battle it out.
Local favourites include Johan Vogelesang (no.18) in MX2, as well as Juniors Pieter Brink in 50cc and Wian Du Plooy in 65cc. These three will no doubt want to impress the local crowds with their skills, but it is going to be a tough meet either way, as points leaders are going to be full-tilt at this important third event. Contestants like Anthony Raynard, winner in MX2 at Zone 7 in Cape Town, and Neville Bradshaw who won MX1 at Zone 7, will not be giving anyone room to move, and we can expect some fierce competition to flare up at the Bloemfontein Off Road Club venue.

Racing will kick off at around 10am. There is catering on site and this is guaranteed to be a great day out for the whole family. Entrance is R50 per adult and free for kids of 12 years and younger. Students will pay R20 per person.
