Taking place at Coetzenburg Stellenbosch University on Saturday 19 November 2022 \u2013 Sunday 20 November 2022, SA\u2019s \u2018MTB Party of the Year\u2019, the Savanna Origin of Trails MTB Experience has attracted the attention of SA\u2019s largest women-only mountain bike club, the Trail Angels.<\/p>\n

Started in 2012, Trail Angels consists of an energetic group of like-minded women, who love to mountain bike. There are five riding groups to choose from based on fitness and skill levels \u2013 from those who are new to the sport and need a helping hand to get started, to those who want to compete in events.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur goal is to build a women\u2019s mountain biking community that encourages more women to enjoy the sport in a nurturing, encouraging and supportive environment,\u201d says Nikki Haywood, Trail Angels Founder and Owner. \u201cWe have created a community of women who support each other and do tough things together. We have amazing Bike Instructor Certification Program (BICP<\/em>)\u00a0qualified coaches who show empathy and encourage women to reach their full potential both on and off the bike.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMany of our members love being part of an event but are not competitive, so the Savanna Origin of Trails MTB Experience is the perfect event for them,\u201d continues Haywood. \u201cI am really looking forward to taking part in a local two-day event that is non-competitive and encourages entrants to enjoy the trails. Our goal is to have as many Trail Angels there as possible to grow the sport of Women\u2019s Mountain Biking, while showing the community that we provide a space for all female riders.\u201d<\/p>\n
