On Sunday, 14th of May, Heronbridge College<\/a> hosted the first SPAR Hockey Festival of 2023.<\/p>\n

Heronbridge College hosted six U15 girl’s hockey teams from around Gauteng in a round robin format that would see 21 matches played in a tight schedule spanning most of Mother’s Day.<\/p>\n

The first round of matches quickly showed who the favourites were on the day. It become apparent that the likely Festival winner would come from the hosts, Eldoraigne and Steyn City. The hosts got the action off to a lively start with a 2 goal win in their 15 minute opener, while Eldoraigne and Steyn City played out a draw. Full match day results below.<\/p>\n
