The countdown is on as\u00a0Street Lines Skate Tournament\u00a0returns in 2026, bringing together South Africa\u2019s best skateboarders, rising talent and skate fans for another action-packed celebration of skateboarding and local skate culture.<\/p>\n
Photo Marci Rodrigues \u00a9 Grant Mclachlan<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Following the success of its previous tournaments,\u00a0Street Lines\u00a0is set to raise the bar once again, with the country\u2019s top skaters going head-to-head at\u00a0Thrashers Skatepark in Pretoria\u00a0for a shot at competition glory.<\/p>\n Presented by\u00a0LW Mag\u00a0and\u00a0Dragon Energy Drink, in association with\u00a0DC Shoes, Garmin,\u00a0Insta360\u00a0and\u00a0Side Hustle Skate Shop, the 2026 edition promises a full day of skateboarding action.<\/p>\n Thrashers Skatepark\u2019s diverse mix of ramps, rails, ledges and obstacles will provide the arena for competitors to showcase their\u00a0style, creativity, technical ability and use of the park.<\/p>\n The competition will feature\u00a0Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s Divisions, with an invited lineup of some of South Africa\u2019s top skateboarders alongside a new generation of hungry up-and-coming talent looking to make their mark.<\/p>\n Competitors will battle through the qualifying rounds, with judges assessing trick variation, execution, style, creativity and overall use of the park. The top performers will then progress to the finals.<\/p>\n he action will culminate in the crowd-pleasing\u00a0Insta360 Best Trick\u00a0contest, giving competitors the opportunity to throw down their biggest, boldest and most creative tricks of the day, with exciting prizes up for grabs.<\/p>\n With a major prize purse, partner prizes and bragging rights on the line,\u00a0Street Lines 2026 is set to deliver one of the biggest days on the South African skateboarding calendar.<\/p>\n Street Lines organiser Ryan van der Spuy says, \u201cStreet Lines has become a real highlight on the South African skateboarding calendar, and we\u2019re excited to bring it back for another year.
