King Price Insurance has bolstered its mountain biking team with the signing of 22-year-old Namibian talent, Alex Miller. He joins Candice Lill, Philip Buys, and Pressmore Musundi for the 2023 cycling season.<\/p>\n
Miller, who raced in the Tokyo Olympics and is the current African Mountain Bike champion, brings with him a cool head and passion for cycling.<\/p>\n
\u2018It\u2019s a great honour to join the King Price Xtreme team. I\u2019m looking forward to representing King Price at races and getting some medals in the process. It really is fantastic to be part of a team that supports athletes across a variety of sporting disciplines,\u2019 says Miller.<\/p>\n
King Price\u2019s client experience partner, Wynand van Vuuren, is looking forward to a strong showing from a team that comprises a mix of talent, experience, and age.<\/p>\n
\u2018This season\u2019s team will build on the strong foundation we put in place last year. We\u2019re looking forward to great results while also having a team that works well together. Even though many consider cycling to be an individual pursuit, with great teamwork and a strong back-office support infrastructure, good results will follow. Miller\u2019s signing gives us more depth and brings new talent into the fold,\u2019 says van Vuuren.<\/p>\n
Miller has already set his sights on doing well at the upcoming Cape Epic in March. Beyond that, there\u2019s qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics to look forward to.<\/p>\n
\u2018Long-term, I\u2019d like to carry on being a professional in the sport. One of my dreams is to move to Spain and race professionally there. But there are still many goals I want to accomplish in South Africa. Being a King Price Xtreme rider gives me the best opportunity possible to do well in the 2023 season,\u2019 says Miller.<\/p>\n
