Day 3 delivered the drama we all anticipated\u2014with semi-final spots on the line, the intensity dialled up across the board. The defending champions clawed back from the brink, the SA U21s continued to light up the tournament, and the hosts remained perfect in front of their home crowd. With the group stages wrapped up in both the A Sections and the B Section finalists confirmed, all eyes now turn to the knockouts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Women\u2019s A Section<\/span><\/h3>\n

Northern Blues 3\u20130 North West<\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span>Staring down elimination, the Northern Blues reminded everyone why they\u2019re the reigning champions. A composed and clinical performance saw indoor international Laiken Brisset net a brace, and a late strike from <\/span>Cailynn<\/span> den Bakker sealed their semi-final spot. North West, despite two strong wins, were cruelly eliminated on goal difference.<\/span><\/p>\n

SA U21 5\u20131 WP Peninsula<\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span>The Junior Proteas booked their place in the semis in emphatic fashion, outclassing WP Pens. Anja Tromp and <\/span>Malikah<\/span> Hamza gave SA U21 a two-goal lead before Lane Barnard pulled one back. But the second half was all one-way traffic\u2014Paris-Gail Isaacs, <\/span>Ane<\/span> Janse<\/span> van Vuuren, and <\/span>Teshawn<\/span> de la Rey closed out a resounding victory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Southern Gauteng 7\u20130 Free State<\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span>After Tuesday\u2019s heavy loss to WP, <\/span>Southerns<\/span> needed a response\u2014and delivered it in style. Seven goals, including a brace from Bianca Wood and strikes from Hannah Pearce, Kristen Paton, Sylvia van <\/span>Jaarsveldt<\/span>, <\/span>Jacolene<\/span> McLaren, and <\/span>Unathi<\/span>Magudulela, saw them power into the semis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Western Province 3\u20130 KZN Raiders<\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span>WP closed out the pool phase with another dominant display. Goals from Ashleigh Thomas, <\/span>Onthatile<\/span> Zulu, and Stephanie Botha inside the first 25 minutes were enough to maintain their perfect record\u2014three games, three wins, three clean sheets. The favourites remain firmly on course.<\/span><\/p>\n

Men\u2019s A Section<\/span><\/h3>\n

Northern Blues 5\u20130 Free State<\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span>Although already out of the running, Northern Blues ended their campaign on a high with a commanding win. Jack Waddell and Calvin Davis both scored twice, with Caleb <\/span>Arries<\/span> adding the fifth to complete a professional performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

SA U21 3\u20130 WP Peninsula<\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span>In a top-of-the-table clash, the Junior Men emerged victorious to finish Pool A unbeaten. <\/span>Litha<\/span> Kraai broke the deadlock after a cagey first half, and Reuben <\/span>Sendzul\u2019s<\/span> late double added gloss to a result that cements their position as genuine title contenders.<\/span><\/p>\n

Southern Gauteng 1\u20131 KZN Raiders<\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span>Southerns<\/span> needed just a point to secure top spot in Pool B and got exactly that. Liam Hermanus gave them the lead, but Dylan Ferreira responded for the Raiders. The draw was enough to see <\/span>Southerns<\/span> into the semis as pool winners.<\/span><\/p>\n

Western Province 6\u20130 Eastern Province<\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span>Needing a result to progress, the hosts made no mistake. Hans Neethling and <\/span>Viwe<\/span>Mbata<\/span> struck early before Jacques van <\/span>Tonder\u2019s<\/span> double extended the lead to four by halftime. Mustapha Cassiem converted a penalty stroke in the second half to wrap up a dominant performance and confirm WP\u2019s semi-final place.<\/span><\/p>\n

Women\u2019s B Section<\/span><\/h3>\n

Eastern Province 2\u20130 WP <\/span>Disa<\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span>EP had already secured their place in Friday\u2019s final but made sure of their perfect record with a gritty win over WP <\/span>Disa<\/span>. Olympian Toni Marks came alive in the final quarter, scoring twice to maintain EP\u2019s unbeaten and <\/span>unbreached<\/span> run.<\/span><\/p>\n

WP <\/span>Disa<\/span> 7\u20130 Mpumalanga<\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span>With a final berth on the line, <\/span>Disa<\/span> delivered in spectacular fashion. Needing only a draw, they cruised to a 7-0 victory to eliminate Mpumalanga and set up a rematch with EP in Friday\u2019s final.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Women\u2019s B Section now takes a rest day on Thursday before the final on Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n
