On the first weekend of March, the SPAR Hockey for Schoolgirls Festival joined the “Best of the West” sporting event held at Krugersdorp High School’s Astro on the West Rand of Gauteng.<\/p>\n
Ten schools participated in a day and a half of frenetic hockey action under the blazing sun at the end of one of Gauteng’s hottest summers and the factor 50 was in high demand. A late afternoon thundershower was most welcome to bring some relief before the matches resumed into the evening session.<\/p>\n
