{"id":2792,"date":"2024-02-25T12:59:11","date_gmt":"2024-02-25T10:59:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.runridedive.com\/?p=2792"},"modified":"2024-02-25T12:59:11","modified_gmt":"2024-02-25T10:59:11","slug":"de-hoop-vlei-mtb-experience","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.runridedive.com\/index.php\/2024\/02\/25\/de-hoop-vlei-mtb-experience\/","title":{"rendered":"De Hoop Vlei MTB Experience"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019re presenting a weekend of pure mountain bike adventure riding, and a few surprising special additions to add to this boutique experience at the De Hoop Vlei MTB Experience, hosted at De Hoop Collection.<br \/>\nKicking off on Friday the 17th, with a short Sunset Scramble, 12km warm-up ride, starting at 4pm.<br \/>\nRiding into a spectacular sunset where Bontebok perfects the picture of white dunes in the background.<br \/>\nRiders pass the stunning new De Mond Lodge situated on the edge of the Vlei, and returns to De Hoop Opstal in a clockwise direction.<br \/>\nA special start to a boutique weekend with great like-minded mountain bike adventure riders!<br \/>\nSaturday 18 May<br \/>\nStart: 8h30<br \/>\nDistance: 50km<br \/>\nElevation approximately 850m<br \/>\nRiding the Rock &amp;amp; Ramsar Vlei Cliffhanger:<br \/>\nThe Route will showcase the best of MTB trails in the De Hoop Collection.<br \/>\nThis year we have a very unique start at the Melkkamer, situated on the furthest edge of the Ramsar Vlei.<\/p>\n<p>This historical Opstal homestead offers a hideaway destination, with two additional Vlei cottages on the island.
