Parents, with children in tow, streamed into the venue at 8.30 dressed for the December holidays in Durban to witness a full day of U13 hockey action.<\/p>\n<style B, Laerskool Orion met in the 21st match of the day to determine the overall winner. The teams couldn&#8217;t be split in regular time and so a shootout followed. Laerskool Orion took the SPAR trophy home after 2 successive 8 seconds goals and 2 successive 8 seconds saves by their goalkeeper who took the individual reward home for golakeeper of the day. Orion striker also got the top goalscorer award for the day making it a clean sweep. She chose an Austin Smith #5 hockey stick from Princess as her prize.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to SPAR without whom this wouldn&#8217;t be possible. Thank you to Ho\u00ebrskool Kempton Park for hosting us and providing access to their astro.
