Hollywood’s Anthony Anderson to play Gary Player Invitational

Anthony Anderson, Hollywood actor and star in the hit television series Law & Order and All about the Andersons, will make his debut at the Gary Player Invitational at Sun City next month, joining Grand Slam champion Gary Player and other prominent golfers, celebrities, sports stars and business leaders in Africa’s leading charity tournament.

Anderson, who has hosted Golf in America on the Golf Channel for three seasons and has appeared in over 20 films including The Departed and Transformers, signed up to support the Gary Player Invitational presented by Coca-Cola after meeting the South African golfing icon at The Masters this year. In the United State leg of the charity series, Anderson displayed his skill as he and his team placed in the top three.

Run Ride Dive News   A self-confessed golf addict, Anderson likes to keep things loose on the fairways. “I am fun and talkative during the round, I even play music when I golf,” said Anderson.


The Los Angeles native joins professional golfers Cheyenne Woods and Retief Goosen as some of the biggest names to have confirmed their place in the tournament, which raises funds for the Wildlands Conservation Trust in partnership with Qhubeka and Wings and Wishes.

The married, father of two is sure to keep golf fans entertained and draw the crowds when he takes to the fairways of The Lost City Golf Course from 16-17 November.
