So a little about myself… I’m a huge sports fanatic and work for a Pretoria-based radio station.  Super competitive (but supports Liverpool??), draws sucks major not to mention a loss, but with that being said I’m a firm believer of good sportsmanship and never a bad loser. I usually spend my evenings and weekends tweeting live commentary on Rugby, Cricket, Tennis, Hockey, Formula 1, Golf, Football &Swimming. Rugby & tennis are my first love, so bear with my predictions! You can follow all of Stephné ‘s twitterings.

Stephné : Crystal Palace 0-2 Chelsea WP

Always had a soft spot for the Blues! Definitely opting for a 2-0 Chelsea win.

Dirk : Palace 1 – 2 Chelsea WP

Chelsea will be too strong for Pardew’s Palace. Palace on song is a difficult team away from home, but this side is struggling for goals. Chelsea will pounce on this uncertainty.

Marcel : Crystal Palace 0 – 3 Chelsea WP

Table-topping Chelsea are in fine form, literally playing most teams off the park in recent weeks. Palace had a cracker a few rounds ago in a high-scoring draw with Hull which might raise their confidence after a string of poor results but they lack mettle and consistency.

RESULT: Palace 0 – 1 Chelsea

Stephné : Middlesbrough 1-1 Swansea

Two bottom feeders, tough one to call, fingers crossed for a Boro win but think this will end up in a 1-all draw.

Dirk : Boro 1 – 0 Swansea WP

Boro to win here. At home they should do enough against Swansea. I really like Boro, and it’ll be interesting to see what January brings for the side, but they’re getting stronger and stronger. 3 more important points here.

Marcel : Middlesbrough 0 – 2 Swansea

This week the welsh giants need to rise from the sea and smash ‘boro. Bradley certainly has them playing attacking football and perhaps the results will follow.

RESULT: Boro 3 – 0 Swansea

Stephné : Stoke City 1-2 Leicester City

Now this is an easy one (at least in my mind, GOOO FOXES!) 1-2 win for Leicester

Dirk : Stoke 1 – 1 Leicester WP

Both teams have moments of brilliance but also moments of madness. Think they’ll cancel each other out here.

Marcel : Stoke City 2 – 1 Leicester City

I’m going for an upset win for Stoke purely because this is the third fixture in a week for Leicester who usually fail miserably when they have European mid-week commitments. Two goals for the swiss genius!

RESULT: Stoke 2 – 2 Leicester

Stephné : Sunderland 1-1 Watford

Another bore fest – this is going to be a definite 1-all DRAW!

Dirk : Sunderland 1 – 2 Watford

Sunderland had a few results go their way but Watford have shown themselves a team to give teams problems. Too many problems for Sunderland. Watford to push on with their mid-table form.

Marcel : Sunderland 1 – 2 Watford

It’s sort of a toss-up between Defoe and Okaka. While I like Jermain Defoe and have only seen Okaka play once or twice, the Watford support cast looks more finished than the Sunderland crew. Will we witness another Sunderland scramble this season, who knows?

RESULT: Sunderland 1 – 0 Watford

Stephné : West Ham 2-0 Hull city WP

Hammers gonna smash Hull 2-0!! I have an inkling…

Dirk : West Ham 2 – 1 Hull WP

Can this really be a relegation 6 pointer? West Ham who look a side for European battles are relegation battlers at the moment. Their form has been all over the place, but they’re at home and it’s must win. They should pick up a very important three points here. Hull have been better than I’ve given them credit for and will make sure West Ham fight for the points.

Marcel : West Ham 2 – 0 Hull City WP

Watching West Ham is frustrating. The potential is obvious. The talent clearly on show. The results absent. Unless of course you count the match against Liverpool, where, thankfully, they were able to rescue a point despite playing donkey.

RESULT: WHU 1 – 0 Hull

Stephné : West Brom 0-1 Manchester United WP

A much as I hate to say it (Not much of an MUFC fan) Man U should claim an easy 0-1 win.

Dirk : West Brom 1 – 2 Man United WP

It pains me to say this but United have started to look decent again. West Brom showed against Chelsea that they’re not an easy side to play against. They’re at home, and this should make life even harder for United. United should have enough fire power to get the win here though.

Marcel : WBA 1 – 2 Manchester United WP

United finally turning chances into goals but will miss Henrikh Mkhitaryan in a must-win fixture. WBA have shown themselves to be a tough nut to crack and as lethal as anyone on the counter. Could be the best match of the weekend.

RESULT: WBA 0 – 2 Manchester United

Stephné : Bournemouth 1-1 Southampton

Another tough one to call… I’ll opt for another 1 all draw.

Dirk : Bournemouth 1 – 1 Southampton

Both sides have really been punching above their weight and expect a fantastic game here! Shrewd managers should cancel each other out, mostly cause calling this one just feels impossible!

Marcel : Bournemouth 2 – 0 Southampton

Call it a hunch, call it witchcraft if you like, but I just think Bournemouth at home is too much for the current Southampton team to beat.

RESULT: Bournemouth 1 – 3 Southampton

Will Yaya play?

Stephné : Man City 2-1 Arsenal WP + MP

City in need of a win, whilst Gunners enjoying a run of victories at the moment. Tight but will have to go with the underdog hosts taking a 2-1 win.

Dirk : Man City 2 – 0 Arsenal WP

Because it’s time we turned this season around, and what better way to do that win a win at home against the Arsenal? Everton showed that they are fallible, it’s our chance to drive this home!

Marcel : City 1 – 1 Arsenal

City are just hanging on to their top 4 spot with a string of poor results. Losing the odd game to a mid table team isn’t quite as damaging to your title aspirations as a loss to a direct opponent, a draw is the absolute minimum requirement for Pep. Arsenal probably satisfied with a point.

Stephné : Tottenham 2-0 Burnley WP

Obvious choice even my dog rolled her eyes at this one. Spurs win!

Dirk : Spurs 2 – 1 Burnley WP + MP

Difficult loss against United behind them, Spurs will be looking to make sure they get the points to stay in the title race. Burnley will struggle at White Hart Lane. Definite Spurs win for me here.

Marcel : Spurs 2 – 0 Burnley WP

Time for Spurs to bounce back from a string of less than staggering performances. Burnley are useful on their day but surely they won’t score, and definitely won’t win, at White Hart Lane.

A frustrating afternoon. – – – #LIVWHU #LFC #PremierLeague #PL

Stephné : Everton 1-2 Liverpool

Game on, it’s the Merseyside Derby! #YNWA – Proud supporter of LFC who else!!

Dirk : Everton 2 – 2 Liverpool

Everton have at last found some form, just in time for the Merseyside derby! I think it’ll be an open game, with a few goals in it. It feels like a draw to me though.

Marcel : Everton 0 – 0 Liverpool

Liverpool have not won a league derby match at Goodison since 2011. Everton did well to steal a draw at United and then saw off Arsenal while Liverpool could only draw with West Ham and lost badly against Bournemouth in the same period. The blue side is on the rise while your guess is as good as mine about the red side in Liverpool.
