Last week it was a case of ‘No Kane, no pain’ for United fans but they’re still adrift of the noisy neighbours as they head to Chelsea for what could be the highlight of the weekend. However, it is unlikely to be a viewing spectacle as Jose goes to his former employer looking to overturn Conte again, this time at the Bridge. There’s another match the other two might watch in Manchester between some light blue outfit and the other team from North London.
RESULT: Stoke City 2 – 2 Leicester City
Stoke City 2 – 1 Leicester City
Could last week’s win see Stoke turn the corner? I think it must might be. At home against a Leicester team under new management, I’m backing Stoke this weekend.
Stoke City 1 – 1 Leicester City
Stoke and Leicester do not generally offer up thrilling watching. However both got good wins last weekend and maybe momentum will help both put up a great game.
Stoke City 1 – 1 Leicester City
Stoke can be a miserable place to visit but Leicester looked positive under Puel last out. Perhaps they can get some of that Premiership winning form back.
MATCH Huddersfield 1 – 0 WBA
They had a difficult and disappointing game against Liverpool after the heroics against United, but the Terriers have had an excellent season so far and I’m backing them to beat West Brom here.
West Brom have not won since week 2 and look a particularly rubbish side. Huddersfield have surprised me with performances this season and Im going for a narrow win here.
Huddersfield are better at home, so far only losing to Spurs. They should be able to see off WBA if they stick to their guns. Could be a real scrap here.
RESULT: Newcastle 0 – 1 Bournemouth
I really feel for the Cherries – they really have struggled this season and right now it’s difficult to see where a big change will come from. Newcastle on the other hand have been excellent and think at home it’ll be another 3 points for them!
Newcastle have only lost to Spurs at home this season so far and will definitely be looking to consolidate that with another victory, they have really struggled with goals though and may need another rescue from their skipper
So far the only team to beat the Magpies at St James’ are Spurs and that says quite about about the home advantage. The Cherries can be great to watch but are early candidates for the relegation battle.
RESULT: Southampton 0 – 1 Burnley
Saints are starting to click up front, they didn’t find the winner they wanted but think they will find enough to beat Burnley here.
In the four premier league meetings between these two the home team has won all four. Incredibly this will be the Saints 7th home game out of 11 meaning they have a horrid run up to christmas!
Burnley are dangerous on the road. They’ve picked up points at Anfield and Wembley (Spurs) and although they lost at City, others have been pummeled by Fraudiolas team while they only conceded three.
RESULT: Swansea 0 – 1 Brighton
Swansea are a strange one for me as they look like they’ll break out and get a run going but never do. I think it’ll play out to a very frustrating draw here.
This is my out there prediction. Brighton undefeated in 3, but I saw an organisation in Swansea last week that I really liked. And as long as we are not in a transfer market they have a chance of not killing their season.
A real chance for Brighton to move into the top half of the table with a win here.
RESULT: West Ham 1 – 4 Liverpool
West Ham have found some form, but so have Liverpool. Both are inconsistent too though, can it be anything but a high scoring draw?
West Ham could win this game. But then again Liverpool could win the champions league. It could happen, it shouldn’t happen, I don’t think it will happen.
The last match on Saturday and the first of the Champions League teams to play in this round, is it enough for Klopp’s beklopten to come unstuck? A West Ham win is a risky call but I think they can do it.
RESULT Tottenham Hotspurs 1 – 0 Crystal Palace
Palace are playing better football, but Spurs are playing excellent football. You shouldn’t beat Real Madrid and then lose to Palace at home right?
So the Wembley curse is gone. they are despicable, disgusting and all those things, but Spurs play good football and when Kane Winks Palace have no chance
I expect a comfortable win for the only real North London team (yes, I said it Tyron). Palace slipping again after the good win against Chelsea a few weeks back.
RESULT Manchester City 3 – 1 Arsenal
City have been magnificent, and at home they’ll have too much pace for Arsenal.
This is the exact type of game that Arsenal either implode in, or produce sensational in. Playing City should bring the best out of them but it will be interesting to see which side Alexis FC helps more on Sunday. Since the 6-3 game City have only won 1 of the 7 encounters in League (and lost the FA Cup Semi too)
Current form suggests City should humiliate Arsenal but it seldom works that way. Arsenal to score late in the game on a break after being under the hammer for 80 minutes.
RESULT Chelsea 1 – 0 Manchester United
If Hazard wasn’t back I’d back United to win here but Hazard back I think United will struggle to contain him.
Man united have an imperious home form, but they are not as menacing on the road. Chelsea have not lost at home to United since 2012. I feel like Mourinho would try to avoid defeat here, but Hazard has started to look a little bit great again…
Basically a showdown between Matic and Kante. Who can run the middle of the pitch best? Could be brilliant, could be a defense master class. It all depends on which Jose shows up on the day.
RESULT: Everton 3 – 2 Watford
I don’t think Unsworth is getting the Everton job… Watford like their lofty position lately and will be looking to get back up the table. Watford win for me.
Call me crazy, but I feel like something could click for Everton.
Everton were still dreadful under Unsworth, can’t see that changing without new players. Watford to outhustle the Merseysiders.

This season we score things a little differently, we’ll award 3 points to the outright winner or 1 each for draws. The loser gets none!
