It’s Derby weekend – EPL Score predictions

Run Ride Dive Superbru
Mohamed Salah has scored 29 PL goals this season and one more would make him the first African player to hit 30 in a single campaign

It’s the morning after the Champion’s League quarters where Liverpool ‘almost’ played City off the park. I say almost because some glaring errors came to light in the post match video analysis. Firstly, the opening and mood-setting goal was scored with Salah in an offside position and secondly, because City were denied a penalty in the 2nd half when Liverpool were hanging on. The Reds had closed up shop and were hoping to survive the onslaught. Video evidence shows Sterling *spit* was fouled on the edge of the area and the tie may be a lot more interesting if they had an away goal. Either way, I don’t care for either team but there are some clear cases for VAR here and on the night City are the losers because it wasn’t in effect.

MATCH: Everton 0 – 0 Liverpool

Tyron – Arsenal fan

Everton 1 – 3 Liverpool

Everton are on their way to off season holiday mode, Liverpool keep winning.

Dirk – Man City Fan

Everton 1 – 3 Liverpool

It’s a Derby but Liverpool are in a fantastic run of form. They should run rings around Everton here.

Marcel- Man Utd fan

Everton 1 – 1 Liverpool

It’s tough to raise your game for Everton at Goodison less than 72 hours after dispatching City and knowing you’re in for round two in a few days against the Citizens. I think they’ll be able to get a point but it could be tough with Big Sam’s team looking to exploit any vulnerabilities.

Points: 0-0-1

MATCH: Bournemouth 2 – 2 Crystal Palace

Tyron: Bournemouth 1 – 0 Crystal Palace

The Cherries are better at home than away, Palace are as well, so give it to the home team

Dirk: Bournemouth 2 – 2 Crystal Palace

Difficult one to call here, I think Palace were unlucky to lose to Liverpool, and should take away at least a point from this one.

Marcel: Bournemouth 1 – 1 Crystal Palace

Bournemouth are struggling to win matches and Palace are struggling to score, to me that says draw.

Points: 0-2-2

MATCH: Brighton 1 – 1 Huddersfield

Tyron: Brighton 2 – 0 Huddersfield

Tough choice, but Brighton at home the favourites for me

Dirk: Brighton 2 – 1 Huddersfield

Brighton just seem to have more about them right now. At home especially they should get an excellent 3 points.

Marcel: Brighton 2 – 0 Huddersfield

I predicted Huddersfield would be one of the three to relegate, right now they are hanging on like dingleberries

MATCH: Leicester City 1 – 2 Newcastle

Tyron: Leicester City 2 – 1 Newcastle

Leicester are better than the Toon.

Dirk: Leicester City 2 – 0 Newcastle

Newcastle have found a little bit of form but away at Leicester I don’t think they’ll have enough a way through Leicesters defence.

Marcel: Leicester City 2 – 1 Newcastle

Newcastle just don’t score enough goals, home win for Vardy and co

Points: 0-2-2

MATCH: Stoke 1 – 2 Tottenham

Tyron: Stoke 0 – 2 Tottenham

Spurs are Marcel’s favourite team secretly and we dont mind seeing the class-less Stoke (Who sing abject songs at Aaron Ramsey for having his leg broken) go down.

Dirk: Stoke 0 – 2 Tottenham

Stoke are looking more and more likely to be a Championship side next season. Spurs visiting won’t help their cause.

Marcel: Stoke 0 – 3 Tottenham

There was a time when I thought Stoke had too much quality to go down but it’s looking like a real battle and the question must be why? Easy Spurs win.

Points: 1-3-3

MATCH: Watford 1 – 2 Burnley

Tyron: Watford 2 – 2 Burnley

A proper battle this, that could actually be quite entertaining

Dirk: Watford 1 – 1 Burnley

I feel like Watford should be better than they are, Burnley will steal a point here for sure.

Marcel: Watford 0 – 1 Burnley

The summer holidays started at Watford when they beat Leicester last year, Burnley are just better, more driven etc.

Points: 1-3-4

MATCH: West Brom 1 – 1 Swansea

Tyron: West Brom 0 – 2 Swansea

West Brom are REALLY BAD

Dirk: West Brom 1 – 2 Swansea

Swansea will find enough to get a massive 3 points here and basically confirm West Brom’s relegation. West Brom just haven’t shown enough of anything this season sadly.

Marcel: West Brom 0 – 1 Swansea

West Brom have scored 25 goals in 32 games, I expect them to maintain their average of less than 1 per game.

Points: 1-3-4

MATCH: Manchester City 2 – 3 Manchester United

Tyron: Manchester City 3 – 1 Manchester United

Because I would love it to watch Man City win the title against United. That would be great. And Mourinho has to congratulate Pep.

Dirk: Manchester City 2 – 0 Manchester United

City will be looking for a big reaction after the disappointment midweek at Anfield. Sealing the title at home in a derby will do exactly that!

Marcel: Manchester City 1 – 1 Manchester United

City have the league won and play Liverpool again in just over 48 hours later, perhaps Pep will rest some stars. I just feel like this is Jose’s best chance to spoil the party at the Etihad and he won’t try.

MATCH: Arsenal 3 – 2 Southampton

Tyron: Arsenal 2 – 0 Southampton

Hughes has a horrendous record at the Emirates and I expect it to continue

Dirk: Arsenal 2 – 1 Southampton

Arsenal will add to the Saints woes here. Arsenal have strikers playing football again and should press on for a good end to their season.

Marcel: Arsenal 2 – 0 Southampton

Southampton are showing signs of intent but dont have the results to match. I expect Arsenal to win easily

Points: 2-4-5

MATCH: Chelsea 1 – 1 West Ham

Tyron: Chelsea 2 – 1 West Ham

West Ham might sense a result here, but I think Chelsea will shade it now that their top 4 hopes are gone

Dirk: Chelsea 2 – 1 West Ham

Chelsea have been horrendous but at home against an average West Ham side they should find 3 points easy to come by.

Marcel: Chelsea 1 – 0 West Ham

If Chelsea lose to West Ham after the recent results I think we’ll see him on his way.

Points: 2-4-5

This season we score things a little differently, we’ll award 3 points to the outright winner or 1 each for draws. The loser gets none!

Name Rounds Wins Draws Losses Points
Marcel 23 8 5 10 29
Tyron 23 7 5 11 26
Dirk 23 3 1 19 10

Standings at the end of Head2Head Round 23

Round 22: Tyron missed the Thursday deadline but would’ve annihilated Dirk and Marcel with 12 or more points

Dirk missed several rounds with travels around the world.

On Superbru Tyron still leads the charge for the three of us.
