The Final round is upon us and there’s not all that much to shout about really. Chelsea could overtake Liverpool for the fourth spot and Swansea could equal Southampton’s points but it’s highly unlikely that the Saints will concede enough goals for the Swans to survive, should they win. The rest of the fixtures are really just about finances for the 8th to 17th placed teams as they hope to improve their prize money but most often with nothing much to play for the managers try to blood some of their youth players in fixtures of little significance. Let’s see if we can predict the games which mean almost nothing.
MATCH: Burnley 1 – 2 Bournemouth
Burnley to cap off a good season in front of the home crowd
Burnley – Bournemouth
Not the greatest run-in for Burnley but at home they should be able to see off the Cherries
Points: 0 – 0 – 0
MATCH: Crystal Palace 2 – 0 West Brom
crystal palace to cap off a good season in front of the home crowd
Palace are safe but I think West Brom want to show they’re not the same side as they were. Win to finish off a horrid season for the Baggies.
Palace have turned a dreadful start into a reasonable season. 2018/9 should be good for them.
Points: 2 – 0 – 1
MATCH: Huddersfield Town 0 – 1 Arsenal
Arsenal to give Wenger some peace at last
A good bye to Wenger, I just think it will be like the Ferguson good bye. End to end stuff with loads of goals.
The Gunners away form has been rubbish, last chance to send Arsene away with a celebration
Points: 3 – 0 – 3
MATCH: Liverpool 4 – 0 Brighton
Pool to cap off a good season in front of the home crowd
Liverpool are in the Champions League final, surely they can beat Brighton at home to confirm Top 4?
I expect to see the best eleven possible for Liverpool and Brighton won’t cope with their pace.
Points: 4 – 1 – 4
MATCH: Man. United 1 – 0 Watford
United to cap off a reasonably good season in front of the home crowd
Man United at home against Watford. Is there any other result than a United win?
Hopefully see Chong make an appearance.
Points: 5 – 2 – 6
MATCH: Newcastle 3 – 0 Chelsea
Toon to cap off a good season in front of the home crowd
Rafa’s revenge at home, and a Conte farewell. Newcastle for me here today.
Chelsea have something to play for, Newcastle just shuffling for places in the pack.
Points: 5 – 3 – 6
MATCH: Southampton 0 – 1 Man. City
City to get the 100
Goal shy saints should be safe, but City will be looking to finish off this record breaking season in style here. City to win big.
The Saints won’t stop City but Mark Hughes owes the rest of the league after gifting City the league when he was at Stoke.
Points: 6 – 4 – 7
MATCH: Swansea 1 – 2 Stoke
Because that would be the most remarkable escape ever
Swansea have a lot more to play for than a Stoke side already considering what life will be next season.
Prelude to a Championship match next season. Don’t care what happens
Points: 6 – 4 – 7
MATCH: Tottenham 5 – 4 Leicester City
Spurs to cap off a good season in front of the home crowd
Spurs to win here even though Leicester have looked better recently. At home Spurs should have enough about them.
Not really sure what to expect from Spurs. It could go either way really but if Kane wants some goals maybe they win
Points: 7 – 5 – 8
MATCH: West Ham 3 – 1 Everton
Football the real winner
Both teams will look to one up each other but I think it will peter out to a draw.
Rooney off to MLS a season too late? West Ham might raise their game to see the Toffee’s off
Points: 7 – 5 – 9

This season we score things a little differently, we’ll award 3 points to the outright winner or 1 each for draws. The loser gets none!
Standings at the end of Head2Head Round 29
Round 22: Tyron missed the Thursday deadline but would’ve annihilated Dirk and Marcel with 12 or more points
Dirk missed several rounds with travels around the world.
On Superbru Tyron still leads the charge for the three of us.
